Beaten...

After a long fight, I'm back. I waded through over 100 fighters as they swarmed me like angry bees. Their energy weapons nothing but an annoyance, I made quick work of them as a whole. The mothership was an entirely different story. I was charged up from the ergs of energy I had absorbed. My confidence was high, but unfounded.

I reeled in pain as the massive ship's main weapon surrounded me in a column of energy. My vision went white. Once they let up, I was seeing stars. I should have played dead. They hit me again with what felt like a bigger charge. I was sent spiralling into space where I have been the last couple of days regaining my strength. I don't remember much after getting blasted, however. I found myself imbedded into an asteroid that had been blown off course by my body. It took a day to get back and I was weak. I've never been hit so hard in my short superhero life.

I realized I couldn't do this on my own. I sought Her out. I asked the most powerful woman that ever lived. She was our only chance, and I knew it. Weakened I fell to her balcony. She came out in a huff, as always. her face seemed to soften a bit when she saw me. I smiled as best as I could, and said, "Hi, honey. I'm home."

I fell unconscious at her feet after that.
